JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has canceled the grand launching of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Saturday, June 25.

Initially, the DKI Provincial Government planned the grand launching of JIS to coincide with the peak night or the closing ceremony of the Jakarta Celebration on that day.

"The grand launching has a different time, not June 25," said PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) President Director Widi Amanasto in a short message, Monday, June 20.

Meanwhile, Widi has not mentioned when the grand launching of the international standard stadium will be held. "We'll announce it later," he said.

Previously, the grand launching of JIS was planned to be part of a series of celebrations for the 495th Anniversary of the City of Jakarta entitled Jakarta Celebration at the peak event on Saturday, June 25.

Meanwhile, Head of the DKI Jakarta Administration Bureau, Andriyansah, said that the DKI Provincial Government will invite a number of musicians as performers for the JIS grand launching event, both nationally and internationally.

One of them, international musicians who will attend are Niki Zefanya and Rich Brian. The two singers from Indonesia are signed to a music label from the United States, namely 88rising.

"For the grand launching at JIS on June 25, 2022, the potential performers are 88rising, Niki, and Rich Brian," Andriyansah said at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, May 23.

Apart from Niki and Rich Brian, the JIS grand launching will also be enlivened by singers Raisa Andriana, Rizky Febian, Isyana Sarasvati, Gamaliel, Marion Jola, and Boy William as the host or MC.

In the grand launching of this international standard stadium, the DKI Provincial Government will also present the Persija football club with the first kickoff by Bambang Pamungkas.
