JAKARTA – Violence has occurred again in the Cilincing area of North Jakarta. As a result of the incident, a teenage boy who was known as the head of a gangster received severe head injuries. The terrible thing is, when the victim was taken to the hospital, a large sickle was still attached to the back of his head, near his neck.

Police officers who received the report immediately launched an investigation and hunted down the perpetrators. As a result, one perpetrator was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilincing Police, in a short time.

According to information, the victim was the head of the Tenagers Gang (a combination of children from Kebantenan - Rawa Malang). The victim was involved in a clash between two groups, Sunday, June 19, early in the morning, in the Cilincing area.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilincing Police, AKP Alex Chandra, confirmed that the perpetrator with the initials MAT alias ID was arrested after the stabbing incident occurred.

"The perpetrator was arrested last night (after the incident). One person has the initials ID," said AKP Alex when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, June 19.

AKP Alex explained, based on the perpetrator's confession, he threw a sickle and stuck it in the victim's head because of urgency.

The incident began when a victim from the Teenagers gang came to a resident of Begog, Cilincing.

"So the victim came to the location where the suspect was Begog's child, Cilincing. Their goal was to get into a brawl, after they met and a clash ensued," he said.

During the brawl, according to the police, the perpetrator was beaten by three opponents, namely the victim's initials T and two of his colleagues. However, because the perpetrator was pressed, the perpetrator finally threw the sickle he was holding and stuck it in the back of the victim's head with the initials T. Kanit.

The victim is known to be a resident of Jalan Rekreasi, Cilincing. The arrival of the Teenagers Gang, led by victim T, to the residents of Begog is motivated by revenge.

"Revenge, yes. Indeed, there have been problems before, so I knew they were hanging out there so they were visited (again)," he said.

Currently, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cilincing Police is still investigating the brawl between the two youth groups.

"Today, the investigation is still continuing," added Kanit.

As a result of his actions, the perpetrator with the initials MAT alias ID was charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code related to persecution.

"Even though it happened in a brawl, there were no other perpetrators who committed violence against this victim. In the meantime, we are applying (Article 351 of the Criminal Code)," he concluded.
