JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) has named SSA (28) the driver of the Mitsubishi Xpander as a suspect in the accident on Jalan Percetakan Negara, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, Saturday, June 18, yesterday.

The car driven by SSA, a resident of Johar Baru, hit three motorbikes and a number of residents. The Head of Traffic at the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Purwanta, confirmed the suspect status for the driver of the car with license plate number B 2463 BZN.

"Yes, his status is already a suspect," said Kompol Purwanta when confirmed, Sunday, June 19.

However, when asked about the job of the car driver who is suspected to be an employee of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Kompol Purwanta was reluctant to provide further information.

"Wow, I don't focus on work, I only handle accident cases," he said. Meanwhile, Nadi Chimot (40), an eye witness at the location, said that the alleged perpetrator is a worker at the KPK.

"What I know, the one who crashed was a KPK employee. Her house is also not far from here, to be precise in Johar Baru. That mother (the crasher) I subscribe to also often buys fried rice," he said.

The fried rice seller who often hangs out at the location said that after crashing, SSA was stunned in his car not wanting to go out to see the condition of the victims.

"Because I know, I knocked on the car door and asked the mother to come down to see the victims. Finally the mother got out and took the victims using a pickup truck belonging to a soto maker to the RSCM," he said.

The accident started when the car driven by SSA was passing on Jalan Percetakan Negara from east to west on Saturday, June 18 at around 00.30 WIB.

However, when he arrived in front of the Rawasari Mas bus stop (before TL Rutan Salemba), the car driven by the SSA suddenly swerved to the left, crashing into three parked motorbikes, a street vendor cart (PKL), and five people who were walking. sitting at the crime scene (TKP).

Related to this, the police suspect that SSA fell asleep while driving, causing the car he was driving to suddenly turn to the left.

As a result of the accident, as many as 5 people were injured. Among them, the female victim with the initials NA found injuries to her head, right and left legs.

The female victim with the initials LS was injured in the stomach with bruises, the injured victim with the initials AH found a broken leg wound, the victim with the initial TA had bruises on his right hand and the victim AR was injured on his right finger. The five victims are still undergoing treatment at the RSCM.
