The Bodies Of Members Of The Papuan Police Mobile Brigade Brigade Headquarters Diego Rumaropen Will Be Buried At The Wamena TMB

JAKARTA - The body of a member of the Papuan Police Mobile Brigade Brigade Brigade Head Diego Rumaropen who was a victim of persecution by an unknown person (OTK) in Napua, Jayawijaya Regency, will be buried in the Happy Cemetery (TMB) Wamena.

Jayawijaya Police Chief AKBP Syafeii admitted that he did not know when the victim was buried because he was still waiting for information from the family.

However, the family hopes that Brigadier Diego's body will be buried in TMB so that everything is currently being taken care of, said Syafeii who was contacted from Jayapura.

He said his party could not confirm who the perpetrators of the attack killed the victim and took two organic pieces of ammunition from the Police.

"Currently we are asking for help from community leaders and religious leaders so that people who carry firearms can return them", he said, quoted from Antara, Sunday, June 19.

Approaches continue to be made so that the firearms are handed back because they are feared that they could be misused, said Syafeii.

The incident of the death of a member of the Papuan Police Mobile Brigade and the disappearance of two firearms occurred on Saturday afternoon, June 18, at around 17.00 WIT in Napua District, Jayawijaya Regency.

Two organic firearms from the National Police which were taken away by the perpetrators were shoulder guns of the AK101 and SSG08 types. The incident began when AKP R was asked by residents to shoot his cow in Napua.

AKP R together with Bripda Diego Rumaropen then went to the TKP and after shooting a cow, AKP R left the firearm he was carrying with the victim.

A few moments later a group of residents came and attacked the victim to death and took both firearms.
