JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion said that so far there have been 40,567 Indonesian Hajj candidates in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Indonesia's total hajj quota is 100,051 for this year.

"Today those who have left for Saudi Arabia, in Mecca, in Medina, currently 40,657 people and 411 officers have left," said Director of Domestic Hajj Services at the Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah Organizers (Ditjen PHU) of the Ministry of Religion, Saiful Mujab at the release of the pilgrims. Moreover, said Saiful, the government of Saudi Arabia increased the cost of Masyair during this year's hajj season, so that the government must bear all these additional costs, by not burdening the pilgrims.

"In the seconds of the departure of the hajj, the cost of hajj increased to Rp. 1.4 trillion, but thanks to Commission VIII of the DPR RI, with enthusiasm, Alhamdulillah, there was a hammer (additional budget) so that the implementation of the hajj could run well," he said.

Therefore, his party asked Indonesian pilgrims to take advantage of this year's pilgrimage opportunity well. He said that the Indonesian people are famous for their good, friendly, polite pilgrimage, of course, by bringing the mission of God's guests so that they become a mabrur pilgrimage.
