"It's Stopped, It'll Be Crowded Again", Jokowi's Way Of Diverting Discussions When Mentioned About No Longer Being President

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo seemed to change the topic of discussion when he was mentioned by one of the participants of the Pre-Employment Card Alumni related to no longer being President after stepping down in 2024.

Pudensia, one of the Pre-Employment Card Recipient Alumni from Ende Regency, Flores, NTT hopes that the program can continue even though Joko Widodo is not the President.

"The suggestion is that the Pre-Employment Card (card) should not end here, even though you won't be our President anymore, continue for the rest of your life," said Pudensia at the Gathering of Alumni Pre-Employment Card Recipients at the Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), Bogor, Java. Hearing this, thousands of spectators from alumni to officials present immediately cheered.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) immediately responded, "It's crowded... it's crowded... be careful. It's stopped when it's crowded again, change here," said Jokowi, trying to change the topic.

While agreeing, Pudensi immediately changed the topic by thanking Jokowi for visiting Ende Regency, Flores, NTT.

The Pre-Employment Card Recipient Alumni Gathering is expected to be attended by 8,000 people in a "hybrid" manner to commemorate the Pre-Employment Card Program which has been running for two years, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
