JAKARTA - The Indonesian Air Force has established a Task Force for the Prevention, Eradication, Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics to monitor every soldier and state civil apparatus (ASN) in this agency.

Dansatgas P4GN Marsma TNI Danang Sulistyanto in a press release, Friday, June 17, said the formation of this task force was carried out because the impact of danger and victims of narcotics was increasing from year to year. Even for the Indonesian Air Force, it is very disturbing to the community and endangers the development of the younger generation.

"Therefore, integrated and serious handling is needed to eradicate drug trafficking," wrote Marsma TNI Danang as conveyed by Colonel Sus Zia Fahrizal in "Socialization on Narcotics" at the Megantara Multipurpose Building at Silas Papare Air Base, Jayapura, Thursday, June 16 yesterday, quoted from Antara.

In implementing the work program, he said, the Indonesian Air Force P4GN Task Force has carried out various activities, including urine examination as a form of early detection of possible narcotics abuse.

"This includes providing socialization aimed at understanding knowledge about drugs and the consequences, both in terms of law, health, and mentality," he said.

He hoped that the socialization could equip Silas Papare Air Force soldiers with insight and knowledge about the dangers of drug abuse and the negative impacts it could cause.

"Thus they are able to anticipate because this is the main key in the fight against drugs," he said.

He is very concerned about the dangers of drug abuse. This is to create a conducive working environment and community atmosphere for the maximum implementation of tasks.

"It is hoped that through the P4GN Task Force's lectures, there will be solid knowledge, understanding, military discipline, and the personality of the Silas Papare Air Base soldiers who are intact, tough, and with character," he said.

During the socialization, the TNI AU P4GN Ambassador Vest was pinned to the Air Force Commander Silas Papare, then followed by a urine test and socialization which was attended by all personnel of the Silas Papare Airbase by implementing strict health protocols.
