BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, has ordered villa owners to report regularly to the authorities whenever a guest wants to hold an event.

"(So far) there are those who take care of (permits) and those who don't, so we urge villa owners and tenants to report or obtain permits," said Megamendung Sub-district Head, Acep Sajidin in Bogor, Antara, Thursday, June 16.

This was conveyed by Acep in response to the cancellation of an LGBT event at one of the Puncak area villas. Villa owners or tenants need to report to the local RT before holding the event so that all activities to be carried out can be monitored.

"The RT heads who are closer, who know better, must be proactive. They must record data and report on activities in their area," said Acep.

According to him, the beginning of the failure of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) event which was originally to be held on 18-19 June 2022 at Villa Kaluska, Megamendung, Bogor, began when he received reports from the public who were aware of the agenda.

Then, Acep assigned the Megamendung Sub-district Satpol PP to cross-check the villa owners on Wednesday. After confirming the truth, Acep then asked for the event to be cancelled.

"Indeed, the villa is in Megamendung, on the side of the highway. I ordered the kasi trantib to check with the owner. At first it was true, but now it has been cancelled," said Acep.

Meanwhile, Marketing Villa Kaluska, Ita Rosita, admitted that an LGBT community named Jajaka Indonesia had booked a villa since January for the March 2022 event. But it was postponed because many participants were exposed to COVID-19.

"Initially (the message) was from January for the March event, but because some of his colleagues were quarantined positive for COVID-19, it was canceled, moving to June 18-19, 2022," said Ita.

According to him, the villa owner also gave conditions to the community to obtain permission from the police to hold the event.

However, after information about the planned implementation was leaked to the public, Ita said, "The villa owner has firmly canceled the villa rental to the Indonesian Jajaka Community by returning the down payment."
