BATURAJA - The Fire and Rescue Service of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra deployed three tank cars to suck up flood waters in the Pancur area of Tanjung Baru Village, East Baturaja District so that it immediately recedes.

"After the flood since a few days ago it hasn't subsided, today we are carrying out desludging efforts," said the Head of the Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Fire and Rescue Service, Aminelson in Baturaja, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 15.

He said his party together with the OKU BPBD deployed three units of water supply tank cars to suck up flood pools of about one meter so as not to disturb the activities of residents in the area.

"We deployed three units of water supply tanks and 12 personnel to carry out desludging so that water can be moved to other places," he said.

Previously, people complained about the puddle of water in the Pancur area that closed the road up to one meter.

The impact of this is that community activities are disrupted, and they are even forced to turn around via alternative roads which are far adrift.

"Hopefully this desludging effort will help the water to recede quickly, so that activities in this area can return to normal," Aminelson said.
