Zulkifli Hasan Becomes Trade Minister, Gerindra: It Will Not Be Difficult To Find The Same Frequency In The Cabinet

JAKARTA - Chairman of PAN Zulkifli Hasan now serves as Minister of Trade in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet replacing M Lutfi.

The Gerindra Party said it had no problem with the cabinet reshuffle. Instead, the party created by Prabowo Subianto welcomed the entry of PAN in the Jokowi-Ma'rif Amin government cabinet.

"Gerindra respects the president's decision to appoint people who are considered good, to help him in any position. So we don't have a problem with what happens in the inauguration process at the palace," Gerindra Secretary General Ahmad Muzani told reporters, Wednesday, June 15.

The deputy chairman of Gerindra, Habiburokhman, said the same thing. According to him, Gerindra's relationship with PAN, including the general chairman of the party, has been quite good so far, so there is no need for a decision to be disputed.

"We don't have a problem, we (Gerindra) and PAN have a good relationship. Mr. Zulkifli when he enters the cabinet is also a person who has good relations with our leadership of the Gerindra Party," said Habiburokhman.

The Gerindra spokesman assessed that Zulkifli Hasan, who is familiarly called Zulhas, could follow the rhythm in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet to synergize with other ministers. Moreover, Jokowi's reign is only two years away.

"I don't think the frequency will be difficult, I also think it won't be difficult for him (Zulhas) to find the same frequency to continue maximizing work in the position where he was appointed. Because this time the cabinet is not too long, so there won't be many adjustments," he explained.
