REJANG LEBONG - The Regency Government (Pemkab) of Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu Province, is currently conducting an assessment of the number of local temporary workers in accordance with the availability of the regional budget.

The Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Rejang Lebong Regency, Yusran Fauzi, said that a number of agencies that employ honorary or voluntary workers (TKS) recently have not received salary payments because they have exceeded the specified quota.

"We will still hold another meeting, because according to the data that has been inputted, it has exceeded the capacity of the prepared APBD, so we will re-clarify each OPD according to their budget and the number of submissions," he said in Rejang Lebong, Between, Monday, June 13th.

He explained that among the honorary workers who had not received this salary were the Rejang Lebong Environment Service (DLH), which previously had a demonstration because they did not have a TKS decree so their salaries could not be paid.

As for the honorary officers who work in 21 health centers spread over 15 sub-districts in Rejang Lebong, he said, currently the monthly salary from January to May 2022 has not been paid because it is still being verified.

"For those who work at the puskesmas, they are still under verification, so we don't want the DLH case to happen again with them. We don't want to let those who are already working, we don't pay their salaries," he explained.

So far, the request for payment of the honorarium for the puskesmas has not been able to be paid because based on the data submitted by the Rejang Lebong Health Service to his party, as many as 378 people have been inputted into the regional financial system, so up to 500 people have to add the budget.

According to him, the number of TKS data that has been inputted throughout Rejang Lebong Regency currently reaches 2,990 people, while the financing funds available in the 2022 Rejang Lebong Regency APBD are 2,553 people.

Previously, the Rejang Lebong Regency Government in the 2022 APBD had prepared a budget of Rp. 20 billion to pay the salaries of TKS who served as firefighters, health workers, Satpol PP, honorary staff at the Curup Hospital, drivers, night guards and janitors for one year running with salaries starting from from IDR 1 million to IDR 1.8 million per month.
