Sandiaga Guarantees Ticket Prices To Rise To The Top Of Borobudur Temple Will Be In Favor Of The Community

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno stated that the decision to determine the ticket up to the Borobudur Temple stupa would be based on considerations of preserving the historical heritage and taking sides with the people, especially from the economic side.

The government previously postponed the implementation of the planned increase in ticket prices to the stupa area of Rp. 750 thousand due to input from various stakeholders,

"We don't want to be unsympathetic to the people who now need additional income," said Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno at a weekly press conference quoted by Antara, Monday, June 13.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) is said to be preparing various steps together with related parties such as the business world to create travel patterns that allow tourists to visit from destinations to other destinations around the Borobudur area in one tour package. .

Among them are inviting investments in augmented reality and virtual reality which are applied in three-dimensional (3D) museums to provide opportunities for the public to feel the sensation of reading the reliefs of Borobudur Temple virtually from the courtyard of the tourist destination.

"This really contains local wisdom that is owned by our nation," said the Menparekraf.

His party has also inaugurated environmentally friendly electric vehicles along with the vehicle station in the Borobudur area in the context of realizing ecotourism in Indonesia.

Then, 24 tourist villages and 20 Village Economic Centers (Balkondes) around Borobudur were also developed by providing training and assistance to tourism village managers and Balkondes so that travelers can feel the sensation of living in a tourist village.

Sandiaga asked the public to trust the government that the determination of ticket prices was considered on the basis of safeguarding the future of Borobudur Temple.

"We need to join hands together. Don't blame each other, don't berate each other for anything, let alone accuse that this is in the context of commercialization," said Sandiaga.
