BANJARMASIN - Banjarmasin Police Chief Kombes Sabana A Martosumito confirmed that a prisoner who died of a heart attack was not caused by violence as reported.

"So I emphasize that the prisoner with the initials SB from the medical records concluded that the person concerned died of a heart attack," he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, June 13.

Kombes Sabana must straighten out so that the news is not wrong, so that the community, including the family, receives correct information according to facts.

He explained the chronology of the arrest of the suspect to death after undergoing treatment at the Bhayangkara Hospital in Banjarmasin.

Initially, SB was arrested on Friday (3/6) in the Pekapuran Laut Sub-district, Central Banjarmasin District with two packages of crystal methamphetamine as evidence and detained in the Banjarmasin Police detention room.

Then a week later on Thursday (9/6), SB complained of shortness of breath and was taken to the hospital. By the doctor, given medicine and allowed outpatient to return to the detention cell.

The next day or Friday (10/6) at 14.00 WITA, SB again complained of pain and was given treatment by a doctor until he was allowed to be outpatient.

But not long ago, SB complained of chest pain again and was rushed to the hospital. After being treated intensively in the emergency room, he finally died.

"The results of the doctor's examination, both through an electrocardiogram (EKG) and an X-ray, concluded that they had desaturated conditions or decreased oxygen saturation in people with heart disease," he explained.
