COVID-19 Update As Of June 12: New Cases Of 551, Healing Increases 407

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 45,799 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 551 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,060,488 people and active cases have increased by 142 to 4,680 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Sunday, June 12.

Today's recovered cases increased by 407 people, bringing the total to 5,899,165 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 2 cases and totaled 156,643 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 332 cases and a total of 1,253,519 cases. Followed by West Java which has 77 new cases with a total of 1,107,453 cases. Banten has 59 new cases and a total of 293,805 cases. Bali has 33 new cases and a total of 157,843 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 164 recovered cases. Followed by West Nusa Tenggara with an additional 124 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 40 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 24 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 99,493,108.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 1.06 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 1,967 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently there are 200,845,766 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 168,068,616 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 47,631,247. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
