JAKARTA - The Head of the Health Section of the Mecca Work Area (Daker) Muhammad Imran stated the readiness of the Indonesian Hajj Health Office (KKHI) to serve prospective pilgrims who experienced health complaints during worship.

"The congregation entered Mecca on the night of June 12, 2022. So the day before, we had prepared all the tools, components, all officers were ready according to their respective guard schedules," said Muhammad Imran in a press release quoted by Antara, Saturday, 11 June.

He said the operational time was adjusted to the movement of prospective pilgrims who started leaving Medina to go to Mecca.

KKHI is scheduled to operate for 24 hours to receive referrals from the Hajj Health Workers (TKH) groups and from related sectors for further handling of pilgrims experiencing health problems.

Health services are provided directly at KKHI as well as mobile services in the field. As of Saturday (11/6) as many as 250 beds have been prepared at KKHI Mecca for hospitalization and services at the Emergency Room (IGD).

"KKHI starts from emergency or emergency services, inpatient services, specialists, including supporting health services such as laboratories, radiology and nutrition," he said.

KKHI's specialist services include internal medicine specialists, pulmonary specialists, heart and blood vessel specialists, neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, general surgery specialists, mental health specialists, anesthesiologists, medical rehabilitation specialists, medical emergency specialists, aviation specialists and clinical microbiology specialists. .

Meanwhile, health services in the field, said Imran, include a sanitation and food safety team that will provide sanitation services at KKHI, boarding houses, and catering. Then there is a health promotion team that will provide health promotion education to prospective pilgrims.

Furthermore, there is also an Emergency Team that will focus on early detection of health problems of prospective Hajj pilgrims. If a case is found, then the action will continue in the emergency response and refer to the KKHI.

There are as many as 145 health workers who are preparing at KKHI Mecca to serve 100,051 Indonesian pilgrims from Medina.

A total of 296 health service points have been prepared by the Ministry of Health during the Hajj in Saudi Arabia as a place for health services that can be used by Indonesian pilgrims. A total of 173 types of medicines and 45 medical supplies were also prepared.
