Governor Mahyeldi's Response, F-Gerindra DPRD West Sumatra Questions Silpa 2021 APBD Reach Rp484.6 Billion

PADANG - The Gerindra faction of the West Sumatra DPRD questioned the remaining remaining budget financing (Silpa) in the 2021 APBD which reached IDR 483.6 billion and this number increased compared to 2020.

Spokesman for the Gerindra West Sumatra faction, Mesra, when reading the faction's general view on the accountability of the 2021 APBD, said this figure was much higher than the previous year, which was Rp.260.8 billion.

According to him, this swelling trend of Silpa makes his party sad because when it is difficult to get money and increase regional income, which should be used for public services and facilitating community needs, it is not being used properly.

"We ask for the application of rewards and punishments for OPD which causes Silpa to swell and if there are no sanctions, it is feared that Silpa will swell even more," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, June 10.

In addition, the Gerindra faction also questioned the follow-up to the findings of the BPK-RI Representative of West Sumatra regarding the handling of COVID-19 some time ago.

According to him, in the LHP on the 2021 Financial Statements, the BPK said there was still an overpayment for the procurement of goods and services for handling COVID-19 at the West Sumatra BPBD of more than Rp. 5.4 billion, which to this day has not been billed.

"Please clarify, Governor, when will this be followed up and resolved," he said.

This general view responds to the introductory note delivered by the Governor of West Sumatra, Mahyeldi, in the plenary meeting on the Accountability of the 2021 APBD, three days earlier and in total, there were 19 points containing input and questions submitted by the Gerindra faction to the Governor of West Sumatra.
