SUMBAR - The City Government (Pemkot) of Solok has begun to allow 100 percent face-to-face learning (PTM) in the near future. The implementation of the 100 percent PTM must be accompanied by the discipline of health protocols (prokes).

Solok Mayor Zul Elfian Umar said the provision was after a coordination meeting with relevant stakeholders regarding the face-to-face teaching and learning process (PBM) in the local area.

"Face-to-face learning will return to normal 100 percent, but still maintain the COVID-19 standard health protocol," said Elfian in Solok, West Sumatra (West Sumatra), Thursday, June 9.

In addition, Elfian also invites all stakeholders to make the National Child Immunization Month (BIAN) a success because it is very much needed to increase child immunization.

"Provide clear and appropriate socialization to parents so that this immunization runs smoothly in Solok City," he said.

He also reminded related parties that facilities and infrastructure at schools must be re-examined and cleanliness, health, safety and comfort must also be re-examined.

"The future of children is not something that can be negotiated, this is our absolute obligation for the local government," said Zul.

Furthermore, he also requested that the local content of Minangkabau culture and literature at the Kindergarten, Elementary and Middle School levels be carried out immediately. According to him, customs and culture must be preserved for the younger generation.

The chairman of the Solok City DPRD through Leo Murphy said the DPRD really supports the implementation of face-to-face learning, but the technicalities must be clear from the Education Office.

"If neighboring areas are able to meet normal face-to-face PBM, we must learn and imitate that. School facilities must also be renovated because there have been many damages found in schools," he said.
