JAKARTA - The Indonesian Poltracking Institute released the results of a survey related to the electability of presidential candidates in 2024. As a result, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo excelled in the simulation of 10 presidential candidates.

In the survey, Poltracking also tested head to head three names of presidential candidates in 2024. Simulated 3 names of presidential candidates, the highest electability was still held by Ganjar Pranowo with 30.6 percent gain. Followed by Prabowo Subianto with 26.8 percent and Anies Baswedan with 19.8 percent.

However, when only two names were tested, Prabowo Subianto won the battle against the other two candidates with the highest electability. Prabowo won narrowly if in the 2024 presidential election only against Ganjar Pranowo.

"In a simulation of two names for Indonesian presidential candidates, Prabowo Subianto got 33.4 percent, while Ganjar Pranowo 32.5 percent," said Indonesian Poltracking Executive Director Hanta Yuda at a press conference, Thursday, June 9.

Prabowo is also superior when compared to Anies Baswedan. Prabowo got 36.0 percent, while Anies got 20.8 percent.

Meanwhile, if the fight was only followed by Ganjar and Anies, then the difference in the votes of the two would be quite far.

"In the head to head simulation of the two names of Indonesian presidential candidates, Ganjar Pranowo was superior to Anies Baswedan. Ganjar got 33.8 percent while Anies got 25.2 percent," he explained.

The Poltracking survey was conducted in the period 16-22 May 2022 using a sample of 1,220 respondents aged over 17 years using the multistage random sampling method.

Interviews were conducted face-to-face with health protocols on 16-22 May 2022. The margin of error for this survey was +/- 2.9 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent.
