File Received By Ambon District Court, Case Of Alleged Corruption Of The South Buru Road Project To Be Tried Soon

JAKARTA - The case of alleged corruption in the budget for a road construction project in South Buru Regency that involved the names of the former South Buru Regent, Tagop Sudarsono Soulissa, and Johny Rynhard Kasman, will soon be tried.

The case files for the alleged corruption of the two suspects have been transferred to the KPK prosecutors team to the Corruption Eradication Committee at the Ambon District Court Office.

"The process for transferring the case files was carried out this morning," said the Junior Registrar of Tipikor at the Ambon District Court Office, Bob Mahulette in Ambon, quoted from Antara, Thursday, June 9.

Bob said that after the BAP of the two suspects entered the Corruption Court, the next step was to form a panel of judges on corruption and to determine the trial schedule.

"We are waiting for the formation of a panel of judges on corruption and at the same time studying the case files to determine the trial schedule," he said.

The suspect, Tagop Sudarsono Soulisa, was a former regent of South Buru for two terms, while his colleague, Johny Rynhard Kasman, was a businessman.

They are suspected of being involved in a criminal case of alleged corruption in the budget for a road construction project in South Buru Regency by involving another contractor on behalf of Ivana Queljoe.

The Minutes of Investigation (BAP) of Ivana has been submitted to the Ambon Corruption Court since last week and the case has been heard by the local Corruption Court judges with the agenda of examining witnesses.

The transfer of the case files for Tagop and Johny today is also related to the transfer of the two suspects who are KPK detainees to the Waiheru Rutan and Maluku Police Detention Center last Wednesday, June 8.
