Community Asks Two Judges Who Are Suspected Of Using Drugs To Be Sentenced To Heavy

LEBAK - Community organization Volunteer Network for the Community (Jarum) Lebak Regency, Banten Province, urged two Rangkasbitung District Court judges involved in drug abuse to be severely punished.

"We are quite concerned that the law enforcers are suspects of drug abuse," said Chairperson of the Lebak Regency Needle Ormas, H Nunung Hidayat in Lebak, Thursday, June 9.

Two Rangkasbitung District Court judges with the initials YR (39) and DA (39) are also a clerk with the initials RASS (32) who were arrested by the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Banten Province until they were named suspects for abusing 20.633 grams of methamphetamine.

The judge's actions, he said, should set a good example for the community. Because, judges are part of law enforcement agencies that must be free from illicit goods.

In addition, judges are likened to 'angels' who decide cases in various trial cases in court. If the judge is a drug user, of course how will he decide the case and it is certain that it is not objective.

The influence of drugs, of course, makes people abnormal, so that work performance is not optimal. Therefore, he as an element of society certainly urges the two judges of the Rangkasbitung District Court who are proven to have abused drugs to be severely punished and dishonorably dismissed.

"We can't imagine if the judge was involved in drugs how in deciding the verdict in the trial," he explained.

According to him, it was revealed that two judges at the Rangkasbitung District Court were involved in drug abuse, it was necessary for the Banten BNNP to conduct a urine test on law enforcement agencies, such as courts, prosecutors and the police.

Urine test examination so that the legal institution is completely clean of drugs as an enemy of the state.

If the urine test, he said, was found positive for narcotic substances, it would need to be investigated by Banten BNNP officers or undergo rehabilitation.

"We must not let law enforcement agencies be polluted by drug abuse," said H Nunung.

He appreciated the performance of the Banten BNNP which arrested two judges and a clerk of the Rangkasbitung District Court. The success of BNNP Banten can save the nation's generation from the threat of drugs.

Currently, he said, drug trafficking is quite widespread and has entered the countryside, so it must be fought by various elements of society.

"We ask BNNP Banten not to be selective and continue to work professionally to prevent drugs," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of BNN Banten Province Hendri Marpaung stated that he would work more professionally to handle drug abuse cases involving two judges and a clerk at the Rangkasbitung District Court. .
