Recognition Of FPI Reborn Action Participants Supporting Anies Candidate To Be Paid Rp150 Thousand, Gun Romli: Is There Really Support For Anies Without A Fee?

JAKARTA - Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) politician M Guntur Romli responded to the viral video that the coordinator of the FPI Reborn group felt cheated when he learned that the action to support Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate was paid Rp. 150,000 per person.

The coordinator of FPI Reborn is named Anam. He knew the participants were paid after the action which was held in the Jakarta Horse Statue area was completed on Monday, June 6 afternoon.

"Is there any support for Anies without payment? Don't admit to being lied to, if you join the event until it's finished, then you receive the money. The distribution is not evenly distributed, so there are those who are angry," said Gun Romli, quoted from his Twitter account, @GunRomli, Wednesday, June 8 .

In the video, the coordinator says that he came to the FPI Reborn action after receiving a call from someone named Edy on the night the event will be held tomorrow. The coordinator said Edy told him to read prayers and pray in the Monas area.

"That night, Mr. Edy called me at 21.00 WIB, told to read a prayer or pray at Monas. In the morning I invited the congregation and students to take me to Monas. I left at 07.00 WIB from the location directly to the location, to Monas," said the coordinator in viral videos.

"Arriving at the location, I was shocked. To my surprise, when I arrived at the location, in the command car, someone handed out FPI flags, while I didn't see the management or big figure of the FPI, the Islamic Brotherhood Front at that location," he continued.

Anam's suspicions grew when the action ended at 11.30 WIB, a person named Edy distributed Rp. 150 thousand in cash. The process of distributing the money took place beside the bus door for the protestors before leaving for home.

For what he saw, Anam felt cheated by the figure named Edy. However, Gun Romli did not simply believe what the action coordinator said to support the presidential candidate Anies. According to Gun Romli, if you feel you have been lied to, why do you keep following the action until it is finished?

"If you suspect that it's a made-up event, of course you won't be joining the event until it's finished. This will follow until it's finished, share the money. Then, after all, there are parties who protest and are lied to. The drama isn't that sophisticated," said Gun Romli.
