The Political Constellation Is Still Very Fluid, The Coalition Of Political Parties Does Not Necessarily Have 3 Camps

JAKARTA - The coalition of political parties in the 2024 presidential election is predicted to be divided into three camps or three axes. First, the United Indonesia Coalition initiated by the Golkar Party, PAN and PPP.

Second, a new coalition will be formed by NasDem, PKB, PKS and Democrats. Third, PDIP is considered to be in a coalition with Gerindra.

Political observer from Al Azhar University Indonesia, Andriadi Achmad, assessed that the existing 9 political parties were not necessarily divided into three coalition camps. Because according to him, political dynamics are still very fluid, especially since the presidential election will only start on October 19, 2023.

"So far, only the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) has been declared. Meanwhile, NasDem, PKS and Democrats or PDIP and Gerindra have not been officially declared," Andriadi told VOI, Wednesday, June 8.

"This means that the political constellation is still very fluid and dynamics will tend to occur," he continued.

According to Andriadi, the actual coalition of political parties will only occur after the 2024 Pilleg. Therefore, he said, currently political parties are only heating up the political machine in order to explore coalitions.

"Right now, it's just a political warm-up ahead of the 2024 Pilleg and Presidential Elections. This means that the coalition is still open to change," he said.
