TANGSEL - Residents found the baby's body on Jalan Raya H. Joan, North Serpong, South Tangerang (Tangsel). The baby girl was lifeless and was lying among the grass on the side of the road.

Serpong Police Chief, Kompol Evarmon Lubis said his party would check several CCTVs near the scene to identify the perpetrators.

"The follow-up is to collect witnesses and look for CCTV to look for passing vehicles or pedestrians to identify the thrower of the baby," said Lubis when confirmed, Wednesday, June 8.

Lubis said the baby found on Tuesday, June 7, started with a witness named Benny who was passing through the area.

"Walking with the aim of paying for electricity, then Benny saw a figure that was thought to be a doll," he said.

When checked, it turned out that the doll was found to be the corpse of a baby girl.

"I approached and was surprised that the figure found was a baby girl who was already dead," he said.

After knowing this, he immediately reported it to the police. Shortly after, officers arrived at the scene.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Serpong Police, Iptu Yahya Sunarya, suspected that the baby was only one day old. This is based on the presence of blood spots and placenta in the baby.

"The estimated age of the baby is approximately one day, because there are still spots of blood and placenta," he concluded.
