KPK Names Suspect In Bribery Case In Central Mamberamo Papua

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named a suspect in bribery and gratification cases related to the implementation of various projects in Central Mamberamo Regency, Papua.

Acting KPK Spokesperson Ali Fikri was quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 7, as saying that KPK investigators had named suspects in bribery and gratification cases in the implementation of various projects in Central Mamberamo.

Various statements and evidence, he said, were considered sufficient so that the suspect was named, but his party was unable to reveal further.

"The suspect and the chronology of the case as well as the articles that are suspected will be submitted after an attempt was made to forcefully arrest or detain him by the investigative team," said Ali Fikri.

Previously, KPK investigators on Monday, June 6, examined two witnesses, namely Jusieandra Pribadi Pampang (self-employed/President Director of PT Bumi Abadi Perkasa) and Simon Pampang (private sector/President Director of PT Bina Karya Raya/President Commissioner of PT Bumi Abadi Perkasa). The inspection was carried out at the Papua Police Headquarters.

There were also two witnesses who did not fulfill the summons of the KPK investigators, namely Marten Toding (President Director of PT Solata Sukses Bangun) and Hausan Ansar (PNS of the Public Works Office of Central Mamberamo Regency) so that they would be rescheduled.

In addition, the investigation team has also carried out forced searches at several locations in the Jayapura City area, namely the Skyline Residence Housing Complex, Permata Indah Housing Complex, Abepura and a residence having its address at Jalan Regency II, Bhayangkara, North Jayapura.

The investigative team found and secured various evidences, including documents related to work projects, money transaction records, and electronic devices that are suspected to be able to shed light on the case.

"All evidence will be analyzed and re-examined and then confirmed with witnesses and suspects," said Ali Fikri.
