PDIP Politicians On Megawati And Jokowi's Relationship: Don't Jump To Conclusions

JAKARTA - PDIP politician Junimart Girsang has asked that the relationship between PDIP Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is not strained because the two rarely display togetherness in public spaces.

Junimart ensured that communication between Megawati and Jokowi is still well established.

According to Junimart, Megawati's absence from several events attended by Jokowi is not an indication of estrangement. Because he said, each individual has their own agenda that cannot be represented. Therefore, Junimart hopes that all parties will not clash Megawati with Jokowi.

"We have to take the positives, don't immediately conclude that it's far apart, don't be like that," said Junimart at the DPR building, Tuesday, June 7.

Moreover, continued the Deputy Chair of Commission II of the DPR, Megawati could fire any cadre who disobeyed the party's decision. However, said Junimart, Jokowi is a PDIP cadre who always asks for directions from the central board and Megawati.

"If they are apart or against, of course the party will do or take a stance, right? Reminds and even fires, right? We have a household budget, we have to understand that," said Junimart.
