'Jealous' Jokowi Welcomed During Formula E Jakarta, Gun Romli Skak Mat Mardani PKS: Envy Because You Are Not Welcomed, Who Are You?

JAKARTA - PSI politician Guntur Romli responded to the statement by the chairman of the PKS DPP, Mardani Ali Sera, who seemed to disagree with President Jokowi, which was welcomed by many parties when he came to the Jakarta Formula E event.

According to the man who is familiarly called Gun Romli, Mardani's protest is inappropriate if it is directed at Jokowi. The reason is that Jokowi is only invited to the race event initiated by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. "The president came because he was invited, he is also expected to come. If you want to protest, please go to the committee," said Gun Romli on his Twitter account, @GunRomli, quoted Monday, June 6.

Gun Romli said Mardani was jealous of Jokowi who arrived at the Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC) Ancol when Formula E Jakarta was held and was immediately welcomed by many parties.

Those who welcomed them included DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, Head of the Jakarta Formula E Executive Committee Ahmad Sahroni, and Formula E Chief Championship Officer and Co-Founder Alberto Longo.

Then the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno and the Chairman of the MPR Bambang Soesatyo.

Gun Romli assessed that the Jakarta Formula E committee did not welcome all the figures who came to the event. He also questioned on what basis Mardani should be welcomed by the Jakarta Formula E committee?

"Mardani was jealous because he wasn't welcomed at the event, even Jokowi. Who are you?" said Gun Romli

Meanwhile, Mardani feels that Jokowi is heavy-hearted because there are no State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) that are sponsors of Formula E Jakarta.

The electric car committee claimed to have submitted a sponsorship to state-owned companies and the Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir in order to get financial support for the Jakarta Formula E event which took place on Saturday, June 4 last.
