Make Sure Eril Has Made Preparations Before Going Down To The Aare River, Family Hands Over Search Monitoring To The Indonesian Embassy

JAKARTA - The family confirmed that Emmeril Khan Mumtadz, son of the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil who disappeared while swimming in the Aare River, Bern, Switzerland, had paid attention and made preparations before going down to the river.

This was stated by the representative of Ridwan Kamil's family, Elpi Nazmuzaman in a virtual press conference with the Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland Muliaman D. Hadad from the Indonesian Embassy in Bern, Monday 6 June.

"As far as we know, the necessary things have been done regarding safety, such as the descent point, heating, checking temperature and temperature including clothing. A temperature of 16 degrees (at that time) was suitable for swimming, but everyone's comfort is different. ," said Elpi.

On the same occasion, Elpi explained that after listening to an explanation from the local police, the family would then entrust the monitoring of Eril's search to the Indonesian Embassy in Bern.

"Hearing the explanation from the police on Friday, in the future, we will entrust the monitoring completely to the Indonesian Embassy. The family is passively monitoring," explained Elpi.

Elpi added that his extended family is grateful for the swiftness and responsiveness of the Indonesian Embassy in Bern in assisting the search for Eril since it was first reported, even though the trip his family took was not an official trip.

"This is a family trip, not an official trip, so there is no protocol attached. When the family arrives, we don't want to bother the Indonesian Embassy. However, the Indonesian Embassy responds very quickly, so that even though they are not officials, the protection of Indonesian citizens feels very well protected," said Elpi.

"The Indonesian Embassy was the first to accompany the family, when Ridwan Kamil was still in England. The Indonesian Embassy has also made efforts, when the family did not know what steps to take," he said.

It is known that the Indonesian Ambassador to Switzerland Muliaman D. Hadad said the Swiss authorities would continue the search for Emmeril Khan Mumtadz, son of West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil, until he was found and indefinitely.
