JAKARTA - The registration process for students to enter schools in Bekasi Regency is planned to start in mid-June 2022. However, the certainty is still waiting for the regional head's decision.

The Head of the Student Affairs and Character Education Section at the Bekasi Regency Education Office, Badru Iskandar, said that the opening of New Student Admissions (PPDB) was waiting for the Bekasi Regent's Decree.

If there are no obstacles, he continued, the 2022 PPDB is planned to be held in the middle of this month.

"PPDB starts from PAUD, TK, SD, to SMP this year, God willing, just waiting for the regent's decision, it has been coordinated with the West Java Provincial Government and if there are no obstacles, on June 16, the PPDB will be launched," he said in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, quoted from Antara, Monday 6 June.

He explained, technically the implementation of PPDB this year was not much different from the implementation of the previous year. There are several paths that have been opened, including the affirmation path, the zoning path, the achievement path, and the Parent-Guardian Task Transfer (PTOW) route.

The zoning route received the largest revenue allocation, reaching 60 percent, followed by the affirmation route with 20 percent, the achievement track with 15 percent, and the PTOW route with five percent. "Hopefully it can run soon," he said.

The Bekasi District Education Office has prepared a factual verification team to minimize any problems that may occur, especially student admissions on the zoning route.

"We have prepared a team for the zoning route for factual verification, if there are complaints from parents because they are not in the zoning, the distance is close but the zoning is far, we will verify factually in the field," he said.

He also reminded the importance of domicile in the PPDB process. Those who have a resident identity card (KTP) outside the area must have a certificate of domicile for more than one year in Bekasi Regency.

"Those who live on the border between DKI and the regency have DKI domicile, when they want to send their child to the regency, they have lived in Bekasi Regency for one year before receiving PPDB," he said.
