Two Ganja Dealers And One Cross-provincial Courier Arrested, Police Confiscate 1.9 Kg Of Evidence

JAKARTA - A total of three inter-provincial network of dried marijuana dealers were arrested from two different locations. The three suspects had the initials DA, DP and AK.

"We have secured it regarding the illicit trafficking of dried marijuana leaf types, ready for inter-provincial distribution," said Kembangan Police Chief Kompol Binsar Sianturi when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, June 5.

From the hands of the three suspects, 1,937 grams of dried marijuana or 1.9 kg of dried marijuana were confiscated.

The arrests of the three suspects stemmed from information on the circulation of dried marijuana leaves in the Kembangan area, West Jakarta. Then the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Reno Apri Dwijayanto conducted an investigation. As a result, on the evening of Monday, May 30, the police found the whereabouts of the perpetrator.

The perpetrators with the initials DA alias DI and DP alias DT were arrested at their homes on Jalan Swadaya Raya, RT 002/07, Larangan Indah Village, Larangan District, Tangerang, Banten.

Based on the results of the arrests of the two suspects, the police again conducted a search and found two large packages of narcotics containing marijuana leaves wrapped in black plastic in brown duct tape.

The dried marijuana leaves that are ready to be distributed weighing 1,937 grams are stored in a black backpack.

Subsequently, the team carried out developments and again arrested a suspect with the initials AK alias AA on Jalan Honoris Raya, RT 01/06, Kelapa Indah Village, Tangerang City, Banten.

"The perpetrator AK alias AA is a courier who helps purchase dried marijuana by pledging his motorbike," said Kanit.

From the information obtained by the police, the perpetrators obtained the illicit goods from someone with the initials RZ and GJ (DPO) in the Kelapa Indah area, Tangerang, Banten.

"Currently we are still pursuing the perpetrator who is still a DPO," he said.

Meanwhile, the three perpetrators were charged with Article 111 (2), Article 114 paragraph (2), Article 132 (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
