TANGERANG - An 18-year-old boy with the initials Y (18) died instantly when he was hit by a moving container truck on Otto Iskandar Street, Karawaci, Tangerang City.

Head of Public Relations of the Tangerang Metro Police, Commissioner Adjutant Abdul Jana, said the incident occurred on Friday, June 3, at noon.

"The victim who died has been taken to the hospital," said Jana, Friday, June 3.

Jana said that at that time Y and his friends intended to create content to be posted on social media. Y and his friends blocked a passing truck. However, while evading, Y was hit and killed at the crime scene (TKP).

"Maybe for the content. The victim (failed to escape) so he died because he was run over by a container truck," explained Jana.

Jana said that one of Y's colleagues was also a victim as a result of blocking the truck, but she survived the incident.

"There was indeed a friend (who was injured as a result of blocking the truck). (The victim) survived, but he also intercepted," he said.

Meanwhile, the truck driver has been secured by Police. To be checked.

"Not arrested. But an examination was carried out. To all the witnesses who were there," he concluded.
