JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it confirmed the evidence found during a hand arrest operation (OTT) against former Yogyakarta Mayor Haryadi Suyuti and eight other people.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said the evidence found was in the form of documents and money in foreign currency denominations, namely United States dollars.

"A number of pieces of evidence were secured, including documents and money in foreign currency denominations, the amount of which is still being confirmed to those arrested," Ali said in a written statement to reporters, Friday, June 3.

As for the silent operation, the Corruption Eradication Commission suspects that bribes have taken place in connection with the permit for the construction of apartments in the city of Yogyakarta. However, Ali did not elaborate further on the allegations.
