YOGYAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) sealed the Yogyakarta Mayor's office at the Yogyakarta City Hall complex.

Acting Mayor of Yogyakarta Sumadi said before carrying out the sealing, a number of KPK officers had met him at Yogyakarta City Hall at around 13.00 WIB.

"I see, it's true (from the KPK) that they continue to ask for permission to seal the mayor's room," said Sumadi, who was sworn in as Acting Mayor of Yogyakarta replacing Haryadi Suyuti on May 22, quoted by Antara.

Before carrying out the sealing, said Sumadi, the three officers without uniforms showed their identities and a letter of assignment for sealing the Yogyakarta Mayor's office.

However, Sumadi admitted that he did not know anything about the KPK's activities at the Yogyakarta City Hall, including whether or not there was information about hand arrest operations (OTT).

He claimed to be cooperative and invited KPK employees to continue their activities then he led the meeting agenda at Yogyakarta City Hall.

"I don't know. Then I went home, there was no more communication with the person concerned (KPK officers)," he said.
