JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana watched a horse racing exhibition at the Rihi Eti Prailiu Field, after visiting a sorghum factory in East Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

While watching the horse race, the President and First Lady were accompanied by the Regent of East Sumba, Khristofel Praing. Iriana had invited local elementary school children to sit nearby.

"Come here, come here," said Iriana in a statement quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 2.

Iriana's invitation got the enthusiasm of dozens of elementary school children who rushed over and approached Iriana.

The agenda for watching the horse race is outside the agenda of President Joko Widodo, which was scheduled during his working visit to NTT.

When the race started, the screams of the audience brightened the racetrack. When the first horse crossed the finish line, the jockeys saluted President Jokowi and gave him a thumbs up.

After watching the horse racing, the President also had a close look at a white horse, before leaving the location to continue the agenda of his working visit.
