BALIKPAPAN - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) through the Meteorology Station in Balikpapan City, detected 20 hot spots spread across five districts in East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim).

The hotspots in West Kutai are in the Jempang sub-district which has a medium level of confidence, in East Kutai it is in the Kombeng sub-district with a medium level of confidence, in Paser it is in the Batu Sopang sub-district with a medium level of confidence.

Then the 13 hotspots in Kutai Kartanegara are spread over five sub-districts, namely Loa Janan District there are 7 points, in Loa Kulu, Marang Kayu, Samboja, and Muara Muntai Districts each one point, all of which have a medium level of confidence.

"Furthermore, there are four hotspots in Berau Regency, spread over three sub-districts, namely Gunung Tabur One District, Kelay One, Sambaliung District, there are two hotspots and all of them have a medium level of confidence," said Iwan.
