JAKARTA - A number of housewives (IRT) in Rusunawa Jatinegara Kaum, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, were scammed by sellers of cheap cooking oil. One of the victims with the initials YM reported to the East Jakarta Police Headquarters.

In the victim's report with the number LP/B/1141/V/2022/SPKT/RES.JAKTIM/PMJ, it is stated that there were 10 victims, including YM, who were deceived by the perpetrator with the initials MRA.

Head of the East Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Ahsanul Muqaffi confirmed the report. Currently, the East Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating the case.

"We are currently examining the victims, there are six people we are examining," said Muqaffi, Tuesday, May 31.

Muqaffi added that the victims had also taken the perpetrators to the East Jakarta Police Headquarters.

"So one of the victims is a friend of the perpetrator. We are currently investigating the modus operandi or promise," he said.
