KRL Passenger Queue Still Dense, KAI Commuter Provides Manggarai-Bekasi Feeder In The Afternoon

JAKARTA - The condition of Manggarai Station today is still filled with queues of passengers who will transit the train after a change or switch over the KRL route. KAI Commuter also conducted an evaluation to break down the density.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Anne Purba said that his party will reorganize the flow of KRL users at Manggarai Station, especially users who will go to Bekasi/Cikarang.

Anne said, starting at 12.00 WIB, KRL trips across Cikarang will also be served on line 8 at Manggarai Station.

"The operation of line 8 is a step in optimizing the transit pattern of users at Manggarai Station because it already has manual stair access and there are escalator and lift facilities for priority users," said Anne in her statement, Tuesday, May 31.

In addition, the KAI Commuter will also run six KAI feeder trips for the Manggarai-Bekasi PP connection to serve users transiting at Manggarai Station to go to Bekasi/CIkarang in the afternoon.

"The feeder for the Manggarai-Bekasi relation is at 18.00 WIB, 19.27 WIB, and 21.11 WIB. Then, the Bekasi-Manggarai relation is at 18.42 WIB, 20.08 WIB, and 21.48 WIB," said Anne.

Based on the records of KAI Commuter, the total volume of KRL users today as of 10.00 WIB is 200,093 people. Meanwhile, on Monday, May 30 yesterday, the total number of users of the Jobodetabek KRL was 605,527 users.

Where, 23 percent of the number of users or about 139 thousand users who transit at Manggarai Station.

Anne also stated that there are alternative trips for KRL users across Cikarang. For example, users at Sudirman or Tanah Abang Stations for Bekasi/Cikarang can travel using the KRL with a full racket operation pattern with the Manggarai – Angke – Kampung Bandan – Pasar Senen – Jatinegara connection to go to Bekasi/Cikarang.

"Full racket KRL schedules for Sudirman Station departure which can be an alternative trip to Bekasi/Cikarang via Kampung Bandan-Jatinegara at work hours in the afternoon are KRL 5549 at 17.00 WIB, KRL 5551 at 17.34 WIB, KRL 5553 at 18.16 WIB, KRL 5555 at 18.50 WIB, KRL 5557 at 19.31 WIB, KRL 5559 at 20.38 WIB and KRL 5561 at 21.17 WIB," he explained.

Meanwhile, KRL users traveling from the direction of Jakarta to the city of Bekasi/Cikarang can transit at Kampung Bandan Station to use the KRL with the full racket operation pattern scheme for the Kampung Bandan – Jatinegara – Bekasi/Cikarang relationship. "On the other hand, KRL users from the Bekasi/Cikarang direction for the purpose of Jakarta Kota can transit at Kampung Bandan Station to Jakarta Kota Station by using the Cikarang/Bekasi – Jatinegara – Pasar Senen – Kampung Bandan connection,” added Anne.
