Head Of Probolinggo Disdikbud Suspect Corruption BOS Funds Sent To Detention

PROBOLINGGO - The Probolinggo City District Attorney's Office has arrested the Head of the Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) with the initials MS along with three other suspects.

The detention was carried out after MS was named a suspect in the case of corruption in the School Operational Assistance (BOS) fund for the Probolinggo City Elementary School in 2020.

The three other suspects who were also detained were ASN former subordinates at Disdikbud at the time, namely BS, BW, and another partner from the Director of CV Mitra Widyatama with the initials ED.

"Allegations of corruption over the misuse of regional BOS funds in Probolinggo City for SD-SMP in 2020 have been investigated and investigated," said Head of Probolinggo City's Prosecutor's Office, Hartono, quoted by Antara, Monday, May 30.

According to him, investigators have obtained sufficient evidence in the alleged corruption in the procurement of LKS and the 2020 module using regional BOS funds worth more than Rp. 6 billion, so the four suspects were sent to the Probolinggo Class 2B Prison.

"From the actions of the four suspects, the state lost more than Rp974 million based on the calculations that have been made. We have also examined as many as 70 witnesses," he said.

Hartono explained that the four suspects were charged with Article 2 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law No. 31 of 1999, as amended and added to Law No. 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.

Subsidiary Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the 1999 Law as amended and supplemented by Law no. 20 of 2001 concerning the Crime of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code.

"The results of the investigation of the four suspects were proven and were involved in allegations of corruption, in the program to increase the quality and access to education, and the activities for shopping for goods and operational services for the Probolinggo City BOS school in 2020," he said.
