JAKARTA - The masses of mostly workers filled the Tugu Tani Roundabout area, Central Jakarta. The roads are closed.

VOI monitored, at 14.30 WIB, Tuesday, October 20, the mass of workers had poured out at Tugu Tani. There were also students who were in the protest group.

The Tugu Tani road section is closed. While the police are on guard around the location. The masses voiced demands that President Jokowi issue a Perppu to revoke the Omnibus Law on the Job Creation Law.

The concentration of the masses is currently also in the area of the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta. At this location, the masses from BEM SI had gathered and gave speeches.

Meanwhile, the police continued to comb people who were not related to the demonstration in anticipation of intruders. The crowd, mostly teenagers, were prevented from entering the demonstration site at the Horse Statue.

At Monas, the police checked the demonstrators' belongings. One by one the students were checked in their bags to avoid dangerous items when voicing their aspirations.

Today's demonstration was escorted by 20 thousand joint TNI / Polri and Jakarta Provincial Government personnel.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said that all 20 thousand personnel were not immediately deployed to the field. Only 10 personnel were deployed.

"We have prepared around 10,587 personnel (who are already in the field) today," Yusri told reporters, Tuesday, October 20.
