COVID-19 Update As Of May 30: 218 New Cases, 2,871 Remaining Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 69,993 specimens were examined with the results of 218 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,054,633 people and active cases have fallen by 81 to 2,871 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Monday, May 30.

Today's recovered cases increased by 287 cases, bringing the total to 5,895,176 people recovered. Then, there were 12 positive confirmations that died and the total was 156,586 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 81 cases and a total of 1,250,584 cases. Followed by West Java with 34 new cases with a total of 1,106,581 cases. Banten has 34 new cases and a total of 293,140 cases. Then, East Java with 22 new cases and a total of 576,253 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 99 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 36 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 22 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 19 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 98,662,159.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.51 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 2,166 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 200,202,182 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 167,330,132 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 45,412,157. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
