Police Arrested The Gang Of Teenagers Who Made Noise In Petamburan

JAKARTA - The Tanah Abang Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to arrest the perpetrators of a brawl at the border of the Petamburan area, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta which went viral on Instagram social media on Sunday, May 29.

Currently, the perpetrators are still undergoing a series of examinations at the Tanah Abang Police Headquarters for further investigation.

"He has been arrested, he is still being investigated," said the Head of Criminal Investigation at the Tanah Abang Metro Police AKP Fiernando Ardiansyah when confirmed by VOI, Monday, May 30.

AKP Fiernando explained that the brawl occurred on Sunday, May 29, precisely at 00.00 WIB. The incident occurred on the border of the Bendungan Hilir area with Petamburan and was immediately dispersed by the Police.

Fiernando said that when the police arrived at the location, residents had run away.

"The brawl was immediately dispersed by the members. The perpetrator has been arrested," he said.

Previously, attacks against each other using stones, glass bottles and golf clubs between two youth groups occurred in the Petamburan area, Tanah Abang.

In the viral video circulating on social media, a group of residents can be seen throwing bottles at each other. Residents were also seen swinging golf clubs at the opposing group. Residents also seem to set off firecrackers.
