NTT Regional Police Transfer Documents For The Murder Of Mother And Child To The Public Prosecutor

KUPANG - The team of investigators from the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (NTT Police) has handed over the dossier of the first stage of the mother and child murder case for suspect IU alias Ira Ua to the public prosecutor (JPU) of the NTT High Prosecutor's Office.

"We have handed over the suspect's case file on behalf of Ira Ua to the Public Prosecutor," said the Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of the NTT Polda AKBP Patar Silalahi in Kupang as reported by Antara, Saturday, May 28.

The handover, said Patar, after the investigation team arrested and detained the suspect Ira Ua after losing a pretrial hearing against the NTT Police on Tuesday (24/5).

AKBP Patar Silalahi also said that suspect Ira Ua's file had also been sent to the NTT High Prosecutor's Office, because of that Patar also hoped for support from all the people in Kupang City so that the case of the murder of mother and child in Kupang City could be uncovered.

It is hoped that the files sent are complete so that the trial process can also be carried out immediately, as the first suspect, the husband of the victim, named Randy Bajideh, had done.

According to AKBP Patar, after being absent from the first summons, suspect IU finally complied with the summons of the NTT Police investigators on May 24 and 25, 2022.

After the examination on May 25, 2022, Ira Ua was immediately detained by investigators from the NTT Police.

"During the BAP, we strengthened the evidence, witnesses and evidence in the form of expert witness statements and other digital evidence," explained AKBP Patar Silalahi.

The Dirreskrimum Polda NTT asked for support from the NTT community so that the Penkase case could be resolved fairly.

Ira Ua is the wife of suspect Randy Bajideh, who was previously suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder of Astrid, a mother and her one-year-old baby, Lael.

Randy is now under the handling of the NTT High Prosecutor's Office after all the files for the alleged murder case he committed were declared complete by the public prosecutor (JPU).

Ira Ua is suspected of being the actor behind the murder case. Ira Ua was arrested after losing a pretrial hearing against the NTT Regional Police regarding the case.
