Remember! Parents Of Prospective Elementary And Middle School Students In Batam Don't Trust Persons, City Government: Free New Student Admissions

BATAM - New Student Admission Process (PPDB) 2022 SD and SMP in Batam City will be held online. Parents of prospective students are asked not to fall for the seduction of people who promise their children can be accepted by paying a certain amount of money.

Registration for PPDB at the elementary level in Batam City will be held from June 6-10 2022. Meanwhile for the SMP level it will be open from June 17-22 2022.

Head of the Batam City Education Office, Hendri Arulan, said that the 2022 PPDB process was free of charge. According to him, parents can register and check on their own by using a mobile phone.

"So don't believe in unscrupulous persons, I have confirmed that there are no levies in the PPDB," said Hendri, as reported by Antara, Saturday, May 28.

Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Batam Amsakar Achmad stated that this year's PPDB implementation used the services of a third party. This is in order to support smoothness and minimize technical problems when registering online.

"Alhamdulillah, our technical OPD, the Education Office, has met directly with vendors and conducted trials on areas on the mainland, while the results are quite good," said Amsakar Achmad.

Based on last year's experience, Amsakar said that there had been a buildup of registering using the application so that the capacity of the application was disrupted.

"So last year I went directly to schools and the Education Office, we found the fact that at one time there were piles of people registering using applications, so the capacity was irregular and disrupted," he said.
