Golkar-PAN-PAN Creates Coalition, PDIP Doesn't Feel Left Out

JAKARTA - The PDI-P (PDIP) has confirmed that it does not feel left out even though the Golkar Party, PAN, and PPP have formed the United Indonesia Coalition. PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto actually feels that his party has an appeal because it has not entered into a coalition with anyone.

"So we are the interesting ones, we never leave, we are never abandoned," said Hasto to reporters in the GBK area, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday, May 27.

PDIP, continued Hasto, even has the power to unify. So, the party bearing the bull symbol will embrace anyone.

"PDIP is a party force that continues to unite. So when someone moves out, we embrace it.

Not only that, Hasto said his party had not yet thought about a coalition. The reason is that they are still focused on supporting the administration of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

"So that all in one line in support of the government of Pak Jokowi - Ma'ruf Amin," he said.

Previously, Golkar Party Chair Airlangga Hartarto held a meeting with PAN Chair Zulkifli Hasan and PPP General Chair Suharso Monoarfa in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, May 12.

Airlangga said the meeting was a gathering in the context of Eid al-Fitr. However, he did not deny that there had been coalition talks for the 2024 presidential election.

Meanwhile, PPP General Chair Suharso Monoarfa said they wanted to announce as early as possible the cooperation that would be established before the 2024 general election began, as well as strengthen the togetherness of these three political parties. The coalition between Golkar, PAN, and PPP was named the United Indonesia Coalition.

"We want to show or demonstrate a much earlier and more beautiful cooperation between political parties to complement each other and to strengthen each other's togetherness for the same things," said Suharso.
