Finding Young Women To Alcohol, South Kalimantan Tapin Regent Reminds About Perda: No License For Karaoke Business

TAPIN - The Regent of Tapin, South Kalimantan, HM Arifin Arpan does not allow karaoke businesses or night entertainment venues (THM) to operate in his area.

"There is no permit from the regional government for karaoke businesses or THM," said Arifin Arpan in Rantau as reported by Antara, Kami, May 26.

Previously, to the Department of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) of Tapin Regency, Reza Ramadie stated that all THMs in this area did not have permits.

So, continued the Regent, law enforcers have the right to take action against THMs that are increasingly mushrooming in districts that maintain a religious image.

The head of the PP Tapin Mahyudin Satpol said there were 19 karaokes spread across North Tapin, Bungur, and North Laras Temples.

"We, the police and the TNI have confiscated alcoholic beverages at karaoke or THM several times. In addition, we have secured women (karaoke guides)," he said when confirmed.

Based on Tapin Regional Regulation Number 09 of 2021 concerning Public Order, Public Peace, and Community Protection, Kasatpol PP promises to take firm action.

The serious threat to THM, which is dominated by the karaoke business, he said, was forced closure.

In April a cafe as well as karaoke in Candi Laras Utara sub-district was forcibly closed by joint security forces because it was open during the month of Ramadan. The liquor and young women at the THM location were secured and examined by the Tapin Police.
