JAKARTA - The City Government (Pemkot) of South Jakarta (South Jakarta) has ensured that pregnant women affected by the fire in Keboyoran Lama, South Jakarta receive free deliveries.

After collecting data, it turns out that there are two pregnant women, namely Sumarti with 34 weeks of pregnancy and Dessy with 14 weeks of pregnancy.

South Jakarta Mayor Munjirin said the two pregnant women, apart from receiving assistance in the form of food and clothing, they were also assisted in preparing for childbirth.

"All ID cards have been printed, BPJS health (cards) can be printed through the puskesmas. And free deliveries until prosecution," said Mujirin when confirmed, Wednesday, May 25.

Previously, it was reported that the fire incident near the Alhuda Mosque, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta left sadness for a number of local residents. Especially Aris (41), an online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) whose house caught fire.

Not only that, the money that Aris had saved at home amounting to Rp. 2 million was burned. Even though he saved the money to prepare for his wife's birth next month.

The fire incident occurred on Tuesday, May 24, at around 11.50 WIB. Aris found out that his house was on fire after being contacted by one of his family members.

Apparently, Aris was carrying passengers at that time. He was forced to ask the passengers for permission to drop them off at the Velbak area, Kabayoran Baru, South Jakarta. Then Aris returned to his house which was on fire.

"I'm still taking a taxi, earlier from the velbak it looked like it was right under here, all of them turned around from here. My passenger I got off the front here earlier. Sir, I'm sorry, sir, come down first, I think my house caught fire," said Aris to reporters at the location, Tuesday, May 24.

After he checked his house, Aris admitted that he was shocked and his feelings were crushed. What's more, his wife, Sumarti (35) plans to give birth to a second child.

Aris hopes that the government or related agencies will make it easier for BPJS Health management. In order to bring his wife to give birth.

"Maybe if BPJS matters are made easy, don't let us become victims, don't let my wife want to give birth, it's already difficult to make it even more difficult. The problem is, if you take care of BPJS, it's easy and difficult," said Aris.

"It's because we don't have anything else, yes, the piggy bank is finished, hopefully, God willing, the important thing is that my wife gave birth smoothly," he added.

Meanwhile, the victim's wife, Sumarti (35) admitted that apart from charred items, a piggy bank containing Rp 2 million to be used for birth expenses was also burned.

"There were 2 million in savings, the cash was burned out, if the ATM was also burned 2 million. It's in the wallet. BPJS also burned, all burned, "he concluded.
