PATI - The Directorate of Certain Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Dir Tipidter Bareskrim) of the National Police revealed the misuse of subsidized diesel fuel in Pati Regency, Central Java, with evidence of 25 tons of diesel fuel and a number of cars carrying diesel.

"The act of misuse of diesel fuel (BBM) has occurred since 2021 until the case is revealed," said the National Police's Criminal Investigation Officer, Komjen Agus Andrianto, during a press conference at the diesel storage warehouse on Jalan Juwana - Pucakwangi, Dukuhmulyo Village, Jakenan District, Pati Regency. , reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 24.

The press conference on the disclosure of the misuse of subsidized diesel fuel by the National Police Headquarters Team, Central Java Police, and Pati Police was attended by Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Ahmad Luthfi, Executive General Manager of Central Java Pertamina Patra Niaga Dwi Puja Ariestya, and Regent of Pati Haryanto.

Agus revealed that the modus operandi of the perpetrators was to buy subsidized diesel at gas stations using a modified vehicle, then put it in a warehouse where it was stored. Furthermore, diesel is sold for the benefit of fishing boats whose distribution uses tanker trucks with a capacity of 24,000 liters and 16,000 liters.

Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi added that in disclosing the case, the police secured a tanker which would later be developed again to reveal connections with those in Jakarta.

Likewise, he said, the two non-subsidized diesel distribution companies, PT Razka Pradipta Energi and PT Aldi Perkasa Energi, would investigate and reveal the case thoroughly to provide a deterrent effect. The National Police are not playing games in order to follow up on the order of the Chief of Police regarding the misuse of subsidized fuel which affects the lives of many people.

The perpetrators of the misuse of subsidized fuel were arrested on May 18, 2022 in Pati Regency, which is spread over three crime scenes (TKP). Among them are the first crime scene in a warehouse on Jalan Pati-Gembong, Muktiharjo Village, Margorejo District, Pati Regency, the second crime scene in a warehouse on Jalan Juwana - Pucakwangi, Dukuhmulyo Village, Jakenan District, and the third crime scene securing an Isuzu Elf car on Jalan Juwana Puncakwangi, Dukuhmulyo Village. , District Jakenan.

The number of suspects arrested was 12 people with different roles for each suspect. Meanwhile, other evidence that was secured in Pati included three white and blue tank cars, four modified cars, and a number of diesel tanks.

The diesel is resold at a price below the price of industrial diesel, which is between Rp. 10,000 to Rp. 11,000 per liter. While the profits obtained ranged from Rp. 4,000 to Rp. 5,000 per liter.

The company can transport around 10,000 liters to 15,000 liters of diesel fuel every day, and the action has been going on since 2021. Meanwhile, state losses are estimated to reach more than IDR 4 billion.

The police also investigated the Permata Nusantara V tanker at Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, because it was known to carry 499,000 liters of diesel fuel.
