Gus Yahya Asks Political Parties Not To Exploit NU For The 2024 Election, PSI: Khittah NU Is Real!

JAKARTA - PSI politician Mohamad Guntur Romli or Gun Romli appreciates the attitude of PBNU General Chair Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya towards his party.

Gus Yahya emphasized that political parties should not exploit Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) for political purposes ahead of the 2024 General Election. Gun Romli assessed that Gus Yahya had carried out the outline of NU's struggle.

"The real NU Khittah," he said on his Twitter account, @GunRomli, Tuesday, May 24.

Gus Yahya conveyed this while at the PBNU Jakarta Office Monday, May 24. He said that political parties should avoid identity politics, especially religious identity, including the identity of NU, when competing in the five-yearly democratic party in the country.

In fact, Gus Yahya emphasized his appeal to all parties who are often seen using identity politics in practical politics.

"Because if we let it continue like this, it's not healthy," he said.

Previously, the PBNU Office visited the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa. Andika, who came yesterday morning, was greeted by Gus Yahya.

The second meeting discussed the movement to defend the state between NU and the TNI. At the end of the meeting, Gus Yahya hoped that harmony would continue between NU and the TNI in advancing the nation.
