Case Of Brimob Member Dompu Hacked And Pregnant Wife Kicked, Police Arrest 3 Suspected Perpetrators

DOMPU - Police officers in Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), arrested three suspected molesters, a Brimob member and his pregnant wife.

Dompu Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Iwan Hidayat said the arrest of the three suspected perpetrators was based on the victim's report.

"Now all of the suspects are undergoing investigation by criminal investigators," said Iwan in a written statement received in Mataram, as reported by Antara, Monday, May 23.

The three people, whom Iwan said were still part of the same family, were arrested on the evening of Sunday, May 22. The three of them had the initials MAA, PSS, and AR. A number of evidence of sharp weapons that were allegedly used to persecute the victim were also secured.

The arrests that began with the victim's report, said Iwan, will continue in accordance with legal procedures.

"We will take firm action against all perpetrators in accordance with applicable law. Please entrust the legal process of this case to us, the police," he said.

According to the victim's report, the assault against the victim took place at the victim's soto shop in the night market, Transad Satu Hamlet, Doromelo Village, Manggelewa District, Dompu Regency.

The perpetrator did so allegedly because he felt offended when the victim was separated in a fight with other people on Saturday, May 21, evening. The incident was located close to the victim's shop.

Regarding the news that the victim suffered a cut from a sharp weapon on his right leg, Iwan confirmed that the members of the Mobile Brigade Unit Kompi Dompu and his wife had received medical treatment at the hospital.
