PONTIANAK - Landak Regent Karolin Margret Natasa and Deputy Regent of Landak Herculanus Heriadi were officially replaced by Acting Regent of Landak Samuel, which was marked by taking the oath/promise of office and the inauguration of the Acting Regent of Landak by the Governor of West Kalimantan, Sutarmidji.

West Kalimantan Governor Sutarmidji said that with the end of the tenure of the Landak Regent and Deputy Regent for the 2017-2022 period on 22 May 2022, the Landak Regent Acting (Pj) was appointed to fill the leadership role in Landak Regency.

"I ask the Acting Regent of Hedgehog to immediately work on carrying out his duties as Acting Regent of Hedgehog, although he is also in this province as Head of the West Kalimantan Information and Communications Agency, but the priority remains to take care of the Landak Regency, because in the office there are still secretaries and heads of fields," said Sutarmidji at Balai Petitih, West Kalimantan Governor's Office, reported by Antara, Monday, May 23.

The Regent of Landak for the period 2017-2022 Karolin Margret Natasa congratulated Samuel on the election of the Acting Regent of the Landak. Karolin said that there were three priority areas that the Acting Regent of Landak had to implement, namely infrastructure, education and the economy.

"During the COVID-19 pandemic, many developments had to be delayed, therefore the infrastructure sector will be a priority. In addition, education also has an effect during the COVID-19 pandemic so that education is important, as well as economic recovery," Karolin said.

In the same place, Acting Regent of Landak Samuel said that he would soon go to Landak Regency and coordinate with the forkopimda and OPD of Landak Regency in carrying out their duties.

"I will carry out my duties and obligations, including continuing government programs, to overcome poverty, stunting and improve independent villages and also to handle COVID-19," said Samuel.
