BATAM - Two foreign nationals (WNA) from Singapore (MRA) and Malaysia (SKY) who were deported by the Immigration Office Class I Special Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) Batam have family in Batam, Riau Islands Province (Kepri).

“They have a partner here, like a normal family. I have a wife and biological children," said Head of the Immigration Office Class I TPI Batam, Subki Miuldi in Batam, Antara, Monday, May 23.

Both are known to have no work while living in Batam. They survive with their families in Batam by using their retirement savings while working in their country. "They have the income they used to have through savings," he said.

Regarding the security of the two foreigners, he said, it was the result of an immigration officer patrol who found them crossing the limit of their residence permit in Batam in different places.

For this reason, his party appealed, if there are people who know there are foreigners working in companies in Batam, please immediately notify immigration so that they are immediately examined.

"Because Batam is a very big industrial city in my opinion," he said.

“The first has the initials SKY from Malaysia and MRA from Singapore. So they have expired, but they are still in Batam," said Subki Miuldi.

SKY entered Batam since February 27, 2020 through the Batam Immigration office using a Visit Visa Free (BVK). Meanwhile, MRA has entered Batam since March 15, 2020 through Batam Immigration using BVK.

"Even though the stay permit period is only 30 days, they violate the residence permit that has been given," he said.

Henceforth, both of them will be immediately repatriated to their respective countries after the filing process at Batam Immigration is complete.

“We have coordinated with the Malaysian and Singaporean embassies to provide them with travel documents. So we will immediately return them to their countries, for sure we will include these two foreigners on the prevent and deter (block) list," said Subki Miuldi.
